Happy Mooncake & Lantern Festival too. There's a full moon tonight.
The day started with this pretty box of mooncakes which friends have brought back from a recent Singapore trip. Thank you Chiara, Silke & Kalim.
These often takes the place of a birthday cake since my lunar birthday is also today.
Yes, the Chinese have two birthdays - lucky us! We really try to keep our Chinese lanterns intact, as we move from city to city.

On other days, the lanterns are displayed as part of our garden-trellis-headboard, in our guestroom & also by the kitchen windows. Too pretty to be brought out once a year.
Tonight, we make & eat these jiaozi. Then we'll stroll around our Dubai neighbourhood, with the lanterns.
And a homemade card from my Annika.

Sounds like a fun and pretty celebration. The butterfly really caught my eye and the food looks delicious! Welcome back Xue!!
In Japan they make such beautiful lanterns and I find it a pity their season is so short. Happy Lunar Birthday! I enjoyed the snow on this hot muggy day and the song too.
Xue, I love all the beautiful bright colors. Happy Lunar Birthday. The wall in the bedroom is very beautiful, can't wait to see it all when it is finished. Everything that you do shows off your talent so nicely.

But still no time to post any picture on the blog :( Birthday siapa tu? We still have the old lanterns with us, but didnt do any big celebration this year, no strolling around with lanterns, also no makan... I definitely love that room :) so bright and cheery. Chat soon.
